Lifetime Master Gardener Volunteer –
From the TN MG Guidebook: " Lifetime Status – available to Certified Master Gardeners who have provided 10 years of continuous
active service to the program. Lifetime status does not require annual
re-certification. Program
participation is still greatly appreciated and recognized. To be eligible for lifetime status, records of
service must be accurate for recommendation and approval by the appropriate Extension agent. All
records must be in line with the guidelines of the Tennessee Master Gardener Program."
They can be recognized by their unique gold colored name badge.

Master Gardener Volunteer, VIP –
From the TN MG Guidebook: "a Certified
Master Gardener who has remained with the volunteer program for a minimum of
three years, and/or has provided exceptional service for the program’s
mission. Master Gardener VIPs are eligible for advanced Master Gardener training."
The CCMGA has
established an additional requirement that the Member must currently be active and
that the MG must also have been an officer or committee chair person.
